Beginning 2nd semester, our first graders learn the Accelerated Reader program. For first grade, this is a practice year. We reward students based on points earned each week.  Each student is given an "AR necklace" and they receive beads according to the number of points they earn each week.  This is an exciting preparation for the school wide AR program which begins in 2nd grade.
