Receipt and Label Programs Turn in all Box Tops and Campbell's Labels to the Media Center |
Over the past 32 years, Campbell's Labels for Education program has delivered over $105 million in free merchandise to schools nationwide. Each year, our school asks parents, teachers and friends in the community to collect Campbell product labels that can be redeemed for free educational merchandise. You can help Amherst earn free merchandise such as computers, audio/visual equipment, sports equipment, reference books, musical instruments and even a mini-van, simply by collecting labels from Campbell products and forwarding them to the school media center. Each year, our school participates in Food City’s Apples for the Students program. This school/community partnership awards educational equipment to schools that accumulate store register tapes. During the past years, Apples for the Students has awarded more than $250 million in needed classroom learning tools FREE to participating schools. Pay attention, the program has changed! Rather than gathering the actual register receipts as in years past, students will now supply their friends and family with a letter imprinted with barcoded number unique to Amherst. When scanned during the check-out process, these barcodes will automatically alert the system to credit Amherst with the order purchases. This new upgrade will make points collection quick and easy. If you need a copy of Amherst's barcode, please see Mrs. Zimmerman in the library. After your barcode is scanned, purchases you make at Food City from now until March 29, 2007 will benefit Amherst. Box Tops for Education is a school fundraising program sponsored by General Mills. Since 1996, Box Tops has helped America’s schools raise over $125 million to buy the things they need such as library books, school supplies, and playground equipment. The Box Tops for Education program offers school supporters three easy ways to earn cash for schools through everyday activities like buying groceries, shopping online, and making purchases with a credit card. Schools can earn a total of up to $60,000 each year. |
